10 Best Florida Vacation Deals Across the Sunshine State

By The VacationDeals.to TeamMarch 21, 20269 min read

Florida is basically the vacation deal capital of the world, and I say that with zero exaggeration. The state has more timeshare resorts than any other place on Earth, which means more promotional deals, more competition, and more insanely cheap resort stays for people like us who know where to look. I've personally stayed at Florida resorts in 8 different cities, and the cheapest one cost $69 a night. For a two-bedroom suite. On the ocean. In America. If that doesn't make you want to book a flight, I'm not sure we can be freinds. Here's the best of the best across the entire Sunshine State. Also check our main deals page for the full picture.

1. Orlando — Westgate Lakes Resort — $99/Night for 4 Nights

The king of Florida vacation deals. Westgate Lakes gives you a full suite with kitchen, washer/dryer, and multiple pools near Disney for $99 a night. It's the deal that started my vacation-deal obsession, and it's still the one I recommend first. Read our full Orlando vacation deals guide for all 10 Orlando picks.

Orlando has the most vacation deals of any city in America because it has the most timeshare inventory. Competition keeps prices insanely low. The 90-minute presentation is a small price for saving $200+ per night.

2. Myrtle Beach — Wyndham Ocean Boulevard — $69/Night for 3 Nights

The cheapest oceanfront deal in Florida... wait, Myrtle Beach is South Carolina. But it's honorary Florida in my heart. Fine, the cheapest actual Florida beach deal goes to Daytona at $69. But Myrtle Beach at that price is worth the drive. See our Myrtle Beach deals for the full list.

Okay, moving on to actual Florida destinations before I get letters.

Fun Fact: Florida has more than 1,300 golf courses, 825 miles of beaches, and roughly 30,000 lakes. It's also the only state where you can get attacked by both a shark and an alligator on the same vacation. Nature is wild, literally.

3. Key West — Galleon Resort — $119/Night for 4 Nights

Harbor views, Old Town charm, and Hemingway's cats — all for $119 a night. Key West is the most expensive destination in Florida, so finding a deal under $120 is like finding a unicorn. The Galleon makes it happen. Full details in our Key West vacation deals guide.

4. Cocoa Beach — Discovery Beach Resort — $79/Night for 3 Nights

Rockets and beaches, baby. The Space Coast delivers oceanfront stays and rocket launch viewing for $79 a night. Kennedy Space Center is 20 minutes away, and the beach is your backyard. See all Cocoa Beach deals for more options.

Pro Tip: If you're doing a multi-city Florida trip, rent a car and drive. Florida's toll roads are excellent, and driving from Orlando to Cocoa Beach (1 hour), Daytona (1 hour), or even Key West (6 hours via the incredible Overseas Highway) is part of the experience.

5. Daytona Beach — Hawaiian Inn — $69/Night for 3 Nights

The cheapest Florida beach deal, period. Oceanfront rooms, a pool, and boardwalk access for less than you'd spend on a decent dinner in Miami. Daytona isn't fancy, but it's fun and absurdly affordable. See our Daytona Beach deals for the full rundown.

6. Miami — Wyndham Santa Barbara — $109/Night for 3 Nights

Miami Beach for $109 a night seems like a misprint, but it's real. Wyndham's property near Pompano Beach puts you in South Florida with a pool, beach access, and easy drives to South Beach and Fort Lauderdale. The presentation is 90 minutes, and then you're free to live your best Miami Vice life.

The resort isn't on South Beach itself (those rooms start at $300+), but it's a 30-minute drive away, and the savings let you actually afford to eat at South Beach restaurants without selling your car.

Fun Fact: Florida has the longest coastline of any state in the contiguous US at 1,350 miles. That's more than California, which everyone assumes is the champion. Florida just doesn't have the PR team that California does.

7. Fort Lauderdale — Wyndham Palm-Aire — $99/Night for 3 Nights

Fort Lauderdale's "Venice of America" canal system and beach scene are criminally underrated. Wyndham Palm-Aire offers spacious two-bedroom condos with full kitchens, a golf course, and multiple pools. The beach is a short drive, and Las Olas Boulevard (Fort Lauderdale's answer to South Beach) has excellent restaurants and nightlife.

At $99 a night, you're getting the South Florida experience without the South Beach markup. Fort Lauderdale has quietly become one of the best food and drink cities in Florida, and the beach is cleaner and less crowded than Miami's.

8. Tampa — Westgate River Ranch — $89/Night for 3 Nights

This one's a wildcard. Westgate River Ranch is a dude ranch resort about an hour from Tampa, with horseback riding, airboat tours, a rodeo, and glamping-style accommodations. It's Florida's western frontier, and kids absolutely love it. The "resort" experience here is unlike anything else in the state.

At $89 a night, it's a budget-friendly alternative to the theme parks and beaches. The Saturday night rodeo is genuinley entertaining, and the horseback riding through Florida ranchland is a unique experience. It's the Florida vacation nobody expects and everybody enjoys.

Pro Tip: Florida's state parks are some of the best in the country and most cost only $4-6 per car to enter. Dry Tortugas, Bahia Honda, Ichetucknee Springs, and Rainbow Springs are standouts. Pack a cooler and snorkel gear.

9. Naples — Marco Island Marriott — $129/Night for 3 Nights

Naples and Marco Island are Florida's Gulf Coast gems — white sand beaches, calm water, and an upscale vibe without the Miami chaos. Marriott's Marco Island property is beachfront with gorgeous suites and a world-class spa. At $129 a night, it's a taste of Gulf Coast luxury at a fraction of the usual price.

The Gulf side of Florida has better shelling, calmer water, and more spectacular sunsets than the Atlantic side. Naples is also one of the best dining cities in Florida, with a restaurant scene that rivals much larger cities.

10. Panama City Beach — Wyndham Bay Point — $79/Night for 4 Nights

The Emerald Coast lives up to its name — the water here is Caribbean-clear and the sugar-white sand squeaks when you walk on it. Wyndham Bay Point offers spacious condos on a golf resort near the beach. At $79 a night, the "Redneck Riviera" (their words, not mine) delivers serious beach value.

Panama City Beach has cleaned up its spring break image and is now a legitimate family destination. Shell Island, a barrier island accessible only by boat, is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Florida. The emerald-green water is no joke.

Daytona Beach and Panama City Beach offer the lowest rates, with deals starting at $69-79/night for oceanfront stays.

When is the best time to visit Florida?

March-May offers the best weather before summer heat. September-November is affordable with warm weather. Avoid July-August for extreme heat and December-February for peak tourist prices.

Is Florida safe for tourists?

Yes. Tourist areas in Florida are generally safe. Use common sense, be aware of wildlife (alligators in freshwater), and follow ocean safety guidelines.

Do I need a car in Florida?

Generally yes, especially for multi-city trips. Florida cities are spread out, and public transit is limited outside of Miami. Car rentals are affordable.

What's the best Florida beach?

Siesta Key Beach, Clearwater Beach, and Panama City Beach consistently top national rankings. The Gulf Coast has calmer water and whiter sand; the Atlantic has better waves and more energy.

Are Florida timeshare deals available year-round?

Yes, though availability varies by season. Summer and fall have the most deal availability. Winter (December-March) is peak season with less availability.

Which Florida city has the most vacation deals?

Orlando by far, with hundreds of timeshare properties. Myrtle Beach (technically SC), Gatlinburg (TN), and Las Vegas also compete, but Orlando is king.

Is it worth visiting both coasts of Florida?

Absolutely. The Atlantic (East) coast has livelier beach scenes and better surfing. The Gulf (West) coast has calmer water, better shelling, and stunning sunsets. They're very different experiences.

How far apart are Florida's major cities?

Miami to Orlando: 3.5 hours. Orlando to Tampa: 1 hour. Orlando to Jacksonville: 2 hours. Miami to Key West: 3.5 hours. Florida is bigger than most people think.

What about hurricanes?

Hurricane season runs June-November, with peak risk in September-October. Travel insurance is recommended during these months. Most hurricanes miss most of the state in any given year.
