8 Best Mexico Vacation Deals for All-Inclusive Resorts

By The VacationDeals.to TeamMarch 22, 20269 min read

Mexico is what happens when beautiful beaches, incredible food, rich culture, and insanely cheap resort deals all exist in the same country. It's the vacation trifecta — or quadfecta, or whatever the word is for four good things happening at once. I've visited three different Mexican resort destinations in the past two years, and each one made me wonder why I'd ever vacation anywhere else. The Cancun deals, the Cabo deals, the Puerto Vallarta deals — they're all absurdly good. Here's the best of the best across all of Mexico. More deals at our homepage.

1. Cancun — The Royal Sands — $179/Night All-Inclusive for 5 Nights

The Royal Sands on Cancun's Hotel Zone beach is the gold standard of Mexican vacation deals. All-inclusive means unlimited food and drinks at multiple restaurants, and the beachfront location is prime. The junior suites have ocean views and the resort was recently renovated. It's the deal I tell everyone about first.

Read our full Cancun deals guide for all 8 Cancun picks, including the $149/night Grand Royal Lagoon that's even cheaper.

2. Cabo — Villa del Palmar — $129/Night for 4 Nights

Villa del Palmar on Médano Beach is Cabo's best-value deal. Beachfront suites with full kitchens, multiple pools, and optional all-inclusive upgrades. Cabo's dramatic desert-meets-ocean landscape is unlike anything else in Mexico. At $129 a night, it's a steal for Pacific coast luxury.

See our complete Cabo San Lucas deals guide for all 8 Cabo options, from budget to ultra-luxury Vidanta.

Fun Fact: Mexico has 35 UNESCO World Heritage Sites — more than any country in the Americas. From ancient Mayan ruins to colonial cities to natural wonders, Mexico has been accumalating cultural significance for millennia. And you can visit most of them between beach days.

3. Puerto Vallarta — Villa del Palmar Flamingos — $119/Night for 4 Nights

The cheapest Mexico beach deal on this list, Villa del Palmar in Nuevo Vallarta gives you Pacific beachfront with full kitchens and stunning sunsets for just $119 a night. Puerto Vallarta's combination of beach, culture, and cuisine makes it the most well-rounded Mexican destination.

Check our full Puerto Vallarta deals guide for all 7 PV options including the ultra-luxury Grand Velas.

4. Cancun — Hyatt Ziva — $189/Night All-Inclusive for 3 Nights

Hyatt Ziva is the premium Cancun pick — perched on a point with ocean and lagoon views, sushi bars, rooftop lounges, and premium all-inclusive that actually means premium. At $189 a night with everything included, it's a fraction of the regular rate. This is the resort that ruined buffets for me because the food is actual restaurant quality.

Pro Tip: Fly into Cancun even if your resort is in the Riviera Maya — Cancun's airport (CUN) has the most flights and best prices from the US. Airport transfers to Riviera Maya resorts run $25-50 per person each way, and many resorts offer complimentary transfers.

5. Cabo — Grand Solmar — $169/Night for 5 Nights

Grand Solmar's newest property at Rancho San Lucas is five-star luxury at three-star pricing. Private beach, Greg Norman golf course, organic farm, and suites with Pacific views and deep soaking tubs. At $169 a night, you're getting what normally costs $450+. It's the luxury play in Mexico and worth every penny.

6. Puerto Vallarta — Grand Velas — $199/Night All-Inclusive for 3 Nights

Grand Velas has won every hotel award that exists, and the all-inclusive here is genuinely gourmet. Sushi, Italian, Mexican, French — all included along with premium spirits and 24-hour room service. The suites are massive with ocean views. At $199 a night all-inclusive, it's a bargain for this level of luxury.

Fun Fact: Mexico consumes more Coca-Cola per capita than any other country in the world. But more importantly for vacationers, Mexico also produces some of the world's best tequila, mezcal, and beer. The drinking culture here is world-class. Responsably, of course.

7. Riviera Maya — Vidanta — $199/Night for 5 Nights

Vidanta's Riviera Maya resort is a destination unto itself — Cirque du Soleil, lazy rivers, golf courses, and restaurants that could stand alone in any major city. The resort is between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, close to cenotes, Mayan ruins, and some of the best snorkeling in Mexico. Five nights at $199 is an incredible value for what you get.

8. Nuevo Vallarta — Occidental — $129/Night All-Inclusive for 4 Nights

The budget all-inclusive champion. Occidental in Nuevo Vallarta delivers the full all-inclusive experience — food, drinks, beach, pools, entertainment — for $129 a night. The rooms are clean and modern, the beach is beautiful, and the value is hard to beat anywhere in Mexico. It's the deal for travelers who want the all-inclusive experience without the luxury pricetag.

Pro Tip: If you're deciding between Cancun, Cabo, and Puerto Vallarta: Cancun has the best all-inclusive options and Caribbean water. Cabo has the most dramatic scenery and nightlife. PV has the best food scene and most authentic Mexican culture. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a passport to visit Mexico?

Yes. US citizens need a valid passport to enter Mexico. Ensure it has at least 6 months validity remaining from your travel date.

Is Mexico safe for tourists?

Tourist resort areas (Cancun Hotel Zone, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta) are generally very safe with strong security. Stay in tourist areas and exercise normal travel precautions.

Which Mexican destination is best for first-timers?

Cancun is the easiest for first-time Mexico visitors — English is widely spoken, the resort infrastructure is excellent, and the Hotel Zone is very tourist-friendly.

Should I drink the water in Mexico?

No — stick to bottled or purified water everywhere in Mexico. Resorts use purified water and ice in their facilities, so drinks at the resort are safe.

What's the difference between all-inclusive and room-only deals?

All-inclusive includes meals, drinks, and activities. Room-only gives you more flexibility to eat off-resort (which can be cheaper, especially in PV). AI is best for Cancun/Punta Cana; room-only can be better in Cabo/PV.

When is the best time to visit Mexico?

November through April for the best weather. December-February is peak season. May-June offers shoulder-season deals with still-good weather. Avoid September-October (hurricane season).

Do I need travel insurance for Mexico?

Highly recommended. Most US health insurance doesn't cover international medical care, and trip cancellation insurance protects your investment.

Can I use US dollars in Mexico?

Yes, in tourist areas. But you'll get better exchange rates using pesos. ATMs in Mexico dispense pesos at fair rates. Credit cards are widely accepted at resorts and restaurants.

How long is the flight to Mexico from the US?

2-4 hours from most US cities. Cancun is 2.5 hours from Houston, 3 from New York. Cabo is 2.5 from LA, 4 from Dallas. Puerto Vallarta is 3 from Houston, 4.5 from New York.

Is tipping expected in Mexico?

Yes. 15-20% at restaurants, $2-5 per day for housekeeping, and tips for bartenders and tour guides. Many Mexican service workers rely heavily on tips.
