At legit AI resorts, all-inclusive means all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks), unlimited drinks (beer, wine, cocktails, premium liquor, soft drinks, bottled water), and on-property activities (pools, non-motorized water sports, fitness, nightly entertainment).
What's NOT included at most: spa treatments, motorized water sports, scuba diving, off-property excursions, airport taxis (though some packages bundle transfers in). Bahia Principe included airport transfers in our package, which is a $80 savings alone.
The 90-Minute Presentation in Mexico
The presentation in Mexico is slightly different from a US one. Its less aggressive. The sales rep focused on "vacation club" membership rather than outright timeshare purchase. Still 90 minutes. Still a final-offer drop-in from the manager. Still completely optional to buy.
We said no, they handed us two spa credits as a consolation prize ($100 total value), and we went back to the beach. Losing 90 minutes of a 5-night trip for $699 of all-inclusive vacation is approximately the best trade my wife and me have ever made.
